Due to popular demand, this summer WALAN will be holding a WALAN pottery event.
Bring your pottery hands to this event and create some magic
When? Feburary 30 2010 2:00pm Sharp.

Sounds like a good plan to get on your feet again.
http://www.grahamhay...au/classes.html looks like the best spot in Perth for the event.
Their site even states "Small classes (generally no more than eight students)", so you may all fit in on the same class.
Seriously though, hope you get a good turnout. You could even start a fundraiser with the finished products
